UPPER FOODS FOR IMMUNE; WHEN IS A POTATO CHIP NOT A POTATO CHIP?

Let’s look at the potato again. A potato baked in its skin is full of complex carbohydrates; it contains vitamins, minerals and a little bit of protein and fat. Less than one percent of its calories come from fat. When you turn it into a French fry, it gets 40 percent of its calories from fat. By the time it becomes a potato chip, it gets a whopping 64 percent of its calories from fat. It’s not a potato chip, it’s a fat chip! The CCs and nutrients are mostly gone, replaced by fat, salt and chemicals.

Unfortunately, the same scenario is repeated over and over with fast food. For example, fairly healthy, low-fat chicken becomes fatty, salty, processed chicken, served in a white-flour bun full of RCs and flavored with sugary ketchup.

Refined foods, processed foods and junk foods are incomparable sources of fat, sugar, RCs, salt and chemical additives. That’s bad news for you and your “doctor within.”
